Фанаты культовой саги «Звездные войны» смогут насладиться ее урезанной 20-минутной версией «Star Wars — Shortened! » уже 17 августа. Именно на следующий четверг назначена премьера новой экшн-пьесы. Причем изменения касаются не только метража, но и жанра – теперь это будет комедия.
«В течение 20 минут мне предстоит побывать и Джабой Хаттом, и Джа-Джа Бингсом, и Дартом Вейдером», — прокомментировал проект Эдам Лонг , один из основателей «Reduced Shakespeare», компании, которая собирается столь вольно обойтись с историческим наследием Джорджа Лукаса. По собственному признанию Лонга, сценариста и режиссера новой версии, он является одним из самых горячих поклонников «Звездных войн» на этой планете и обещает, что никаких искажений первоисточника произойти не должно. Компания «Reduced Shakespeare» приобрела широкую известность после того, как умудрилась ужать 37 пьес великого Шекспира в шоу продолжительностью в 97 минут.
Для всех желающих насладиться полной версией с 26 августа «Sky Movies» обещает начать показ всех шести серий классической версии сериала.
