Результаты показали, что те мыши, которые питались кокосовыми орехами, в разы снижали риски пониженной выработки инсулина в организме. Исследователи объяснили это тем, что кокосовое масло состоит из так называемой «средней цепи» жирных кислот, которые являются более «здоровыми» для организма, чем длинная цепочка жирных кислот, найденных в продуктах животного происхождения, таких как сливочное масло или смалец.
